Dr Peter (P.J.) Williams is senior lecturer in New Testament and Deputy Head of the School of Divinity, History and Philosophy at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. He joined the university in 2003. His PhD (1997) is from Cambridge. After his PhD he was a Research Associate on the Semantics of Ancient Hebrew Database Project in the Faculty of Divinity, Cambridge University, and thereafter taught Hebrew and Old Testament at Cambridge University as Affiliated Lecturer in Hebrew and Aramaic and as Research Fellow in Old Testament at Tyndale House, Cambridge (1998 - 2003).
He has a blog at http://evangelicaltextualcriticism.blogspot.com. Amongst his recent publications is Beginning to Study the Old Testament, in Philip Duce and Daniel Strange, editors, Encountering God's Word: Beginning Biblical Studies (2003).
It is not clear to us whether Williams is an IDer or a YECer or just a theist who actually accepts mainstream science. However, he has been involved in Genesis Agendum as a speaker and is known to have checked a creationist manuscript for Any McIntosh et al (http://www.creationontheweb.com/content/view/1597). Philip Duce has also been involved in Genesis Agendum.
